Description
Some drawing experience necessary. Come and learn figure painting in oils, acrylics or pastels from a live model. In this class you will gain the knowledge of basic painting concepts and techniques such as value, color temperature, composition and transition. You will be exposed to the different approaches to start a painting and the theories behind them. Step-by-step instructions will take you through the entire process of a painting. Short demos will be given by the instructor to show how to apply these concepts and techniques. Model fee included in price.

Classes will be held virtually through Zoom. Students must have their own Zoom account and MPA will provide some basic instruction on how to use Zoom for the class. While instructors have recommended supply lists, we understand that at this time it is difficult to get all the recommended supplies. Modifications to supplies will be fine.
