Jessica Beels: Textile Techniques with Metal Wire Workshop
This one-day workshop with artist Jessica Beels, will include an introduction to textiles techniques with metal wire. We will explore textile techniques such as freeform macramé/weaving, looping, braiding, and others. The workshop will be divided into two sessions with an hour lunch break in between.

Jessica Beels is an artist and professional craftsperson. She has delved into various textile techniques such as costuming, embroidery, bead-weaving, and knitting. Her crafts background includes many self-taught techniques as well as extensive formal training in metalwork, papermaking, and stone carving. Beels holds a B.A. in Art History from Harvard University and a Masters in Early American Decorative Arts from the Winterthur Program at the University of Delaware.
