Week 4 - MPA Virtual Summer Camp: Exploring Color (Morning)
Week 4: Exploring Color
July 19 – July 23, 10-11:15 am
$175 per camper
Campers will delve into the world of hue, shade, tint, value and intensity. Starting from the “color wheel”, we will draw and drip paint on paper and canvas with colorful layers of paint, oil pastel and collage. We will experiment with different types of 2D printing and use pencil, pen, watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. We will learn about exciting artists such as Jackson Pollock, Morris Louis, and other contemporary artists who use various techniques in their works. Instructor: TBA
This camp will be held virtually through Zoom. Students must have their own Zoom account and MPA will provide some basic instruction on how to use Zoom for the camp.
The supply fee is included in the camp tuition and supply kits will be available for contactless pick-up from MPA. More information about pick-up days and times will be provided.
The McLean Community Center (MCC) and McLean Project for the Arts are open to very limited public access, with most activities operating virtually or on hold. To minimize face-to-face public contact, we ask that you continue to contact us online, or by email, as most MPA staff is still working remotely.
