Week 1 - MPA Summer Camp: Comic Book (Afternoon)-Ages 6-8
Week 1: Comic Book
June 28 – July 2, 1-4 pm
$260/$245 MCC resident
Delve into the world of comics by making your own books and looking at the work of professional comic book authors. We will learn what works both from a compositional and storytelling-perspective. Campers will look at some of the most famous heroes and villains in comic book history for inspiration. Beginning with pen and ink drawings for our storyboards, we will add sequential and close-up images as part of creating your own exciting comic books. In addition to our classic cosmic books, we will construct flip books to show your own comic style in motion. Instructor: Nathan Johnson
Campers should bring a snack, and water. If attending a full day, campers should also bring lunch. Please no nuts.
The safety of our campers, staff, and community is at the forefront of our minds as we redesign our in-studio camps in this new environment. Please review our Health and Safety Guidelines. Campers and guardians must follow these guidelines to participate in MPA in-studio camps.
Thank you to our 2020-2021 corporate and community sponsors.
