Week 5: Book Making
July 26 – July 30, 1-2:15 pm
$175 per camper
Books come in all forms and are made of in just as many materials as their forms. In this camp, campers explore different styles of books, such as the accordion style, scrolls, and much more! They will learn the process of making their own paper, binding, and eventually forming their own book that can be used for their own stories, journaling, or as a stand-alone piece of art. Instructor: TBA
This camp will be held virtually through Zoom. Students must have their own Zoom account and MPA will provide some basic instruction on how to use Zoom for the camp.
The supply fee is included in the camp tuition and supply kits will be available for contactless pick-up from MPA. More information about pick-up days and times will be provided.
The McLean Community Center (MCC) and McLean Project for the Arts are open to very limited public access, with most activities operating virtually or on hold. To minimize face-to-face public contact, we ask that you continue to contact us online, or by email, as most MPA staff is still working remotely.
